L’Union Juive Française pour la Paix dénonce vigoureusement les récentes investigations de la police israélienne à l’encontre de plusieurs militants de New Profile qui ont été placés en garde à vue alors que leurs ordinateurs personnels étaient fouillés. Ils sont accusés « d’incitation à éviter le service militaire ». Après avoir été interrogés, ils ont été relâchés sous caution et interdiction leur est faite de tout contact avec leurs camarades pendant 30 jours.
New Profile est un mouvement féministe agissant pour la démilitarisation de la société israélienne en aidant des refuzniks et en faisant un travail d’éducation sur l’influence du pouvoir militaire sur la vie cicile en Israël. C’est un mouvement légal.
On peut voir, dans cet événement, une menace croissante sur la liberté de parole d’organisations pacifiques qui expriment leur opposition à l’ordre militaire qui règne en Israël.
New Profile a déclaré : « ces actes récents confirment ce que nous soutenons depuis des années : le militarisme de la société israélienne nuit aux principes sacrés de la démocratie, de la liberté d’expression et de la liberté d’association politique. Qui croyait que jusqu’à présent « seuls » les citoyens arabes d’Israël pouvaient être fichés au pénal, a pu voir ce matin qu’aucun-e de nous ne peut être certain-e de pouvoir librement exprimer une opinion concernant les manquements de la société et des règles en Israël ».
L’UJFP est profondément inquiète devant les méthodes de plus en plus fascistes dans la soi-disant démocratie israélienne. De telles méthodes montrent en fait à quel point l’Etat d’Israël est menacé par les mouvements anti militaristes parce qu’ils mettent en question la raison d’être de l’Etat d’Israël.
Nous diffuserons en France toutes les nouvelles nous parvenant au sujet de cette attaque du droit d’association et d’expression.
Nous condamnons le harcèlement policier contre New Profile et assurons les militants de New Profile de notre totale solidarité.
In solidarity with New Profile
The French Jewish Union for Peace (UJFP) strongly denounces the recent investigation from the Israeli police against several activists of New Profile who have been detained while their personal computers where searched. They are accused of “incitement to avoid military service”. After a police interrogation they were released on bail and forbidden to have any contact with their fellow activists for 30 days.
New Profile is a feminist movement involved in de-militarizating the Israeli society, helping refuzniks and doing education on the influence of the military on civilian life in Israel. It is a legal movement.
We see, in this event, a growing threat on freedom of speech against pacific organisations expressing their opposition to the military rule dominating Israel.
The New Profile Movement noted: “These recent acts confirm what we have been contending for many years: the militarism of society in Israel harms the sacred principles of democracy, freedom of expression and freedom of political association. One who believed that until now criminal files were conjured up “only” for Arab citizens of Israel saw this morning that none of us can be certain that s/he can freely express an opinion concerning the failures of society and rule in Israel.”
UJFP is deeply concerned with growing fascist methods in the so-called democratic Israel. Such methods show in fact how the State of Israel is threatened by the anti militarist movements because they are questioning the Israeli “raison d’être”.
We will disseminate in France all news related to this attack upon the right of association and of expression.
